We were really impressed when we saw this video from nxgonzo on YouTube because, well, we’ve never really seen a Silverado as quick as this one.

After some thorough internet stalking, we found out that this truck was built by Tellez Motorsports in Mission, Texas and that its name is “Crema.” After seeing the twin-turbo full-size pickup make an 8.50-second pass in the quarter, we had to find out more about it.

Under the hood is a custom 408 cubic-inch LQ9 block that received a Callies Dragon Slayer crankshaft, Callies billet I-beam rods, Manley pistons, a Holley Hi-Ram intake manifold, some Trick Flow heads, and a Holley engine management system to tie it all together. At the beginning of the build, the plan was to go with a single Precision Turbo, but that idea was soon scrapped to go with twins.

When Tellez Motorsports was building this truck last year, they left no stone unturned as far as quality goes. They did such a good job tying all of the components together that it would look pretty stock if it weren’t for the exhaust exiting the hood and the turbos peeking out of the grille.

One thing we love about this truck, though, is how it launches. In the video, we see the driver inching up to the beams with the front end bouncing as if there’s a jolly jump with kids in it under the hood, then the truck just scoots, lifting both tires off of the ground, and after that, it is simply a little spec at the end of the strip. It’s awesome to see a truck of that size move with such force, and we definitely want to see more of this thing in the future, the near future. For more info, check out the full build thread here.
