Following a week-long thrash filled with many a sleepless nights, Larry Larson and his two-man wrecking crew of Bob Tynan and Kasey Smith at Larson Race Cars buttoned up his all-new Cadillac ATS-V in time for last weekend’s Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings event at the New England Dragway in New Hampshire. With little more than 24 hours to spare, Larson landed up his ultra-ultra-track new machine — without even getting an opportunity to see it completed and sitting in the sunshine — and headed East, making only a brief afternoon stop at Dragway 42 in Ohio to shake the new no-prep weapon down.

With little track time to lean on, Larson dropped his opening round match at Epping, but nevertheless left with the utmost of confidence in his new chariot. 

Wasting little time in ironing out the Caddy before its next no-prep date in St. Louis next weekend, Larson and company towed to the 1/8-mile Ozark Raceway Park in Missouri this past weekend to get some laps and accumulate valuable data for his mission of collecting the No Preps King title and some $40,000-to-win raceday paydays along the way. While the car was seen for the first time by a large crowd at Epping, the Ozark test marked the first opportunity for Larson’s local fans to get up close and personal with the car in a more relaxed scenario and see it make a handful of full pulls to the finish stripe.

With its Pro Line 481X mill and single turbocharger large enough to create its own black hole, Larson clicked off a series of stout runs — with the clocks off, of course — all of which was captured by Sean Melton at Urban Hillbilly Videos.
