By now, we’re sure you’ve all heard of the Atomic Orange C6 Corvette owned by William George cleverly named “PumpKing.” Yes, the same Corvette with the license plate that reads “H8R MKR.”
Those that haven’t seen or heard of the car should know that it’s equipped with H Squared Race Engines‘ Ultra Billet LSX package, a huge ProCharger F1-X blower, GTP-ported Mast heads, and an RPM level 6 trans with Liberty face-plated gears. D3 Performance Engineering put the car together, and if you’ve seen some of their builds in the past, you know they do awesome work. They also took care of some other bits including the air-to-water intercooler, boost control system, ProEFI system, cooling system, and the final tune.
When we saw D3’s video of the car’s dyno session, it put down 1,491 horsepower on boost alone, which is a record itself, but that was after TX2K14. Rewind back to TX2K14 where the PumpKing goes up against an MKIII Toyota Supra. Everyone knows that Supras aren’t to be taken lightly no matter what engine they have tucked under the hood. This particular Toyota is running a built 2JZ with a huge 76mm turbo outing 48 psi of boost, making over 1,400 horsepower at the wheels. With the PumpKing making 1,166 during TX2K14, will it be enough to beat the red Supra, or will the PumpKing have to redeem itself this year at the next event? Check out the video to find out the end result – we don’t want to spoil it.
However, we do know that the PumpKing will be returning with upwards of 1,700 wheel horsepower for TX2K15, though!
