In 1990, Tim McAmis won the first-ever IHRA Pro Mod championship, and two years later opened Tim McAmis Race Cars. Since his very first day in business, McAmis and his team have been in the business of creating some of the most innovative race cars, components, and parts targeted to their customers’ needs.
Today, they have a huge, fully-stocked warehouse of their own Tim McAmis Performance Parts and parts from outside vendors, in addition to parts from Velocity, their composite shop, all in an effort to be your one-stop shop for the things you need to win on race day. As part of their commitment to their customers, they have a fully-equipped 56-foot trailer that rolls the road to all of the major races like the new X-DRL series, the Yellow Bullet Nationals, both of Donald Long’s Duck Productions races at South Georgia Motorsports Park, and even all the way out to Vegas for the Street Car Super Nationals at the end of the year.
We are proud to have them on board with Dragzine, as they always have incredible builds going on in the shop, which we’ll be able to cover for you as they are completed — something we’re really looking forward to, as a McAmis race car is always full of cool tricks and trendsetting ideas. They have also graciously offered to create a variety of content for us that we’ll be able to share with you, and company representative Justin Spencer sent this neat video with overseas chassis builder Henrik Pedersen to us as a teaser of what you can expect. It’s interesting to hear firsthand just what the drag racers across the pond have to go through in order to get the parts they require. You get an inside look around the shop and a chance to see what goes into packaging up parts for overseas delivery. Check out their website and online store at www.timmcamis.com, where you’ll find plenty of great information, videos, performance calculators, and more.
