2018 Import vs Domestic: World Cup Finals Event Coverage

Ken Quartuccio, Jr. is competing in Outlaw vs Extreme with his brand new Corvette that has been on a tear, dominating some of the other big races this year. Ken is looking to grab the top spot and set the record in Outlaw vs Extreme!

Vendors are starting to get ready for the second day of the 2018 Haltech World Cup Finals

Racers are unloading and getting ready for the second round of qualifying this morning.

Jason Abee in his recently updated Procharged G-Body is racing in Radial vs Modified to get some more laps in his recently updated 1987 Grand Prix.

X275 vs Hot Rod, Wild Street, Warriors vs Tres Cuarto, and True Street first round of qualifying.

Super Street, Street Figher, Radial vs Modified, and Pro Street Bike first round of qualifying.

Outlaw vs Extreme and All Motor first round of qualifying.

Teddy Weaver and Carlos Sobrino, two of the regular domestic all motor cars at this event, are here trying to keep the imports at bay!

All Motor has some quick imports doing the best they can to bring home the win to the Import side of the 2018 Haltech World Cup Championship!

Two smoky burnouts from the True Street class racers!

Ken Quartuccio, with the help of Jamie Miller, went a 5.98 at 234 in his Corvette in Friday morning qualifying at the World Cup Finals.

Jimmy Dolan in the YeTTi continues to impress everyone here at the World Cup going a career best 6.85!

In Outlaw vs Extreme Isaias Rojas made the quickest World Cup pass in history with a 5.72 at 250 mph!

Rob Goss in the Procharged Challenger sits at #1 in X275 vs Hot Rod with his 6.83 from the first round while Ralph Hardesty in his Procharger Nova dipped into the 6.70's to stay #1 in Warriors vs Tres Cuarto!

Another new class at the Haltech World Cup Finals is Pro Street Bike, where we have the motorcycles running in the high 6's in the 1/4-mile.

Jason Abee owner of 1320 Fabrications is out racing in Radial vs Modified with his completely update 87 Gran Prix that he races with a Smal Block Chevy and big F3 Procharger stuffing it with as much air as it can handle! Look for Jason to be real competitive once they figure it out!

Jimmy Dolan in the YeTTi was all smiles in his pit after going another career best. A few maintenance items were addressed from the first day of racing so the Lightning should be a real contender the rest of the World Cup race!

Carl Brunet made the long haul from Canada to race in Radial vs Modified. After the second qualifier he sits atop the field with the 6.361 at 217. You can see the team doing some maintenance before the third qualifier tonight.

Luis Rivera also known as Rafaelito took his 2005 RX-8 to #5 with his 6.59 at 206. They were making sure everything was ok after that last pass.The Mech Tech team out of Puerto Rico went to work after the second qualifier where Isaiah Rojas went to the top of the field by a lot with his 5.725! The El Humilde team sits outside right now after having an issue with the intercooler tank. They have patched it up and look to see if they can break into the field tonight.

All Motor, Pro Street Bike, True Street and Wild Street second qualifier.

Warriors vs Tres Cuarto, X275 vs Hot Rod, Outlaw vs Extreme, and Radial vs Modified second qualifier

Cleanup after the Radial vs Modified car of Luis Torres slid and went onto his side.The driver is ok and out but with the threat of rain and the cleanup they are calling it for the night. Racers are to be ready to go at 10am Saturday morning.

Andy Manson started to climb the ring gear but a quick pedal settle it back down.

Tim Essick's Mustang looks great! The car is known as Brown Sugar! Tim is running in Otlaw vs Extreme and is solidly in the field for now. Lets see if he turns it up and goes into the top of the field!
