Brooksville, Florida racer Willy Waddy has his new X275 car here this weekend for some shakedown run on the motor. The 434 cubic inch small block Ford engine was built by Ford Performance Solutions and maintained locally by Ford Speed Racing who is one hand this weekend helping out with the car. Waddy plans to run the local X275 races at Sunshine and some occasional traveling.

Brett Newell from Lake Wales will face off with Dave French from Power Mad Racing in Outlaw 10.5 this morning. Both are old school 10.5 cars and also have competed in the Outlaw 632 class perviously as well.

Todd Brash from TRZ Motorsports starts his day off right with Monster energy drinks. TRZ is the title sponsor for the X275 class here this weekend.

Blankenship nailed the tree with a .007 light against Tim Hendricks and taking the win with a 5.23 to Hendricks .26.

Bruce Roberts got an easy win over Ari Birchfield after the car stalled on the line while Roberts went on to a 5.21 @137, his best run of the weekend so far.

John Fernandez had low ET again in round one this morning with a 5.001 @ 140 on a single. Clint Lonon keeps improving, taking the win over Antonio Santiago with a 5.03 @141.
Limited Street

Scott Husted skied the wheels on his first round single and came crashing down hard and shut it down and coasted to the end off the groove.

Tony Ridenour had a nice clean run this morning with a 4.64 @ 162 and will line up with tenth qualifier Dave Boger in round two.

Auto Pro Mod

Jose Morel ripped off a 3.96 @ 187 on his single making him the lone 3 second Auto Pro Mod here this weekend. Good job guys.
Pro Mod

Smith was puffing a little smoke out the left side but that didn't seem to effect his performance much as he took out Steve Drummand with a 3.94 @ 189 to 4.13 @ 186.

Round Two Update
In TRZ X275 John Fernandez pulled off a 4.97 @ 142 over Blankenship’s .001 red light and 5.31. Drakeford took the win over Bobby Flippen, Lonon took a close win over Pirez, 4.98 @ 141 to 5.07 @ 139 as Pirez held out a long wheelie about 200 feet. Roberts put up a 5.04 @ 139 to get a win over Kenward.
Limited Street had nelson again running in the 4.50’s in a win over Archie Marasco. Angelo Graham ran a 4.85 on a bye. Ridenour put up a 4.68 against Dave Boger who had some trouble keeping the front down. Husted did not make the call giving Chris Tedeschi the win and he ran a nice 4.88 @ 155.
Danny lowery slowed to a 5.01 allowing Dave French to get by with a 4.89 @ 159. Saitz took a close win over Nesbitt with a 4.43. Wells slowed slightly to a 4.31 in his win over George and Troy Blake took out Violante with a 4.34 @ 166.
Morel took a win over Alex Viscardi with a 4.12 @ 151. Ronnie Davis drove around Kneece with a 4.07 @ 180. Mathis picked it up a little more with a 4.00 in a win over Kenny Burgess. Jamie Hancock was the only three second run in this round in his win over Quesenberry.

John Fernandez ran yet another 4 second pass against Walt Drakeford who was piloting mark Burkhart’s car here this weekend. 4.99 @ 140 to Drakeford’s 5.33 @ 138. The other pair in th eround was lonon and Roberts with Roberts getting a holeshot win with a 5.02 beating the quicker 5.008, he had .021 advantage on the tree.

“Big Lo” Angelo Graham but a tree on Mel Nelson with a .004 reaction time but his 5.01 was no match for Nelson’s 4.57 @ 168 MPH run. On the other side of the ladder it was Tony Ridenour and Chris Tedeschi with Tedeschi out first with a .106 light. He was not able to hold off the twin Procharged Camaro even with his best run of the day as Ridenour drove by with a 4.69 @ 162 and the win.
Outlaw 10.5
Dave French cut a decent .043 light on Dan Saitz and put up a 4.73 @ 156 in a game effort but the turbo powered Ford Probe drove by with a 4.50 @ 164. Rob Wells did his job aganst Troy Blake and ran a 4.35 @ 170 to take the win over Blake’s 4.44 @ 165.
Auto Pro Mod
Jose Morel and Ronnie Davis lined up in the Auto Pro Mod semi final with Morel out first and runing a 3.98 @ 186 to Davis’ game 4.08 @ 181 Robert Mathis had a single after Hancock didnt make the call, he ran a 5.35 @ 93 after shutting off.
Pro Mod
Tim Tindle took out Chris Patrick with a fine 3.90 @ 187 for low ET of the event in his blown 67 Mustang wile patrick coasted to a 16.63 @ 22. Rickie Smith put Morel onthe trailer with a 3.96 @ 188 to Morels 4.08 @ 177.
Xtreme Import
Jaime Rodriguez and Daniel Vega lined up for the Xtreme Import Semi with Vega getting away first with a .063 reaction. Rodriguez’s way off .308 didnt matter though as he went by Vega with a 4.68 @ 137 to Vega’s 5.42 @ 129. Manny Cruz ran a 7.25 @ 109 on his single.
Final Results

Tim Tindle went red with a -.007 light handing the win to Ricky Smith before it started. Smith ran a 3.95 @ 190 for top MPH of the event.

Bruce Roberts wound up with an opponent broke bye in the final as Fernandez' car was unable to start in the lanes. he ran a 6.12 @ 133 after breaking loose early int he run and pedaling it.

Jaime Rodriguez put a .008 light on Cruz and laid down a 4.70 to Cruz' 5.00 to take the Xtreme import win here this weekend.
