Thanks to co-operating weather this weekend we are on schedule to start eliminations about 10 AM this morning. Final qualifying went till after 1:30 with X275 and Kevin Neal taking the top spot with a record setting 4.785 @ 149.

The staff started preppign the track about 9 AM today with a time run for the index cars set to begin about 10 AM.
The Part Time Performance crew got Willard Kinzers ride all buttoned up last night after replacing the throttle body, mounting a hood fromt he swap meet here at the track and repairing some piping for the turbo inlet after a backfire blew the hood off during qualifying yesterday.
Round One Results
We are still in round one of eliminations with PTC Radial vs. The World. Top qualifier John Carter is out after he was pushed back for a leak after the burnout. The other classes are through round one and the results sheets are below. Round notes and photos will come later after this round is finished.

Corndog drives for the Team Midnight racing team and he is going to round three after scoring a nice 5.12 in round one and winning round two as well of the second chance X275 race after having a cylinder head welded up yesterday by Jeff Lutz.
Darren Breaud was clearly out front early in a match with Brad Edwards in Radial vs. the World but the twin turbo top end charge of Edwards edged out at the stripe.
Scotty G. lost to Eric Dillard in OL 10.5 after losing traction but did make it past Mel Nelson in Radial vs. the World with a nice 4.57 @167.
Francis Johnson had low ET in Outlaw Radial with a 4.64 @ 158 on a single over Chad Opaleski who bent a oil pump mandrel and wasn't able to make the call with his newly Procharged 66 Chevelle.
John Urist had a nice 4.81 @ 159 taking out Ali Belford in Outlaw 275.
a 4.94 @ 148 for Sean Lyons got the win over Richie Stine who slowed to a 5.93 after spinning the tires.
Clint Lonon took out the turbo charged ride of Brad Medlock from the 31st spot in a series of nitrous wins early in X275 round one with a 5.03 @ 141
Tim Kincaid got an easy round win when top qualifier John Carter leaked on the burnout, he ran a 4.77 @ 171
Chris Daniels scraped the wall in 10.5 this morning but got a win over Ruben T. with a clean 4.73 @ 162 while Ruben did his best to pedal the car and keep the front end down to no avail, but still a game 4.82.
Jackson has low ET so far with a 4.408 @ 177 on a single.

Outlaw 275 vs 28x10.5 Winner - Terry Elam. terry now holds the record for Outlaw 275 and is currently the quickest car on 275 radials with a 4.646 @ 160 taking the event win over Daniel Pharris.
Proformance Racing Transmissions - Leaf Spring Shootout Winner - Bobby Flippen
PTC - Radial vs The World Winner - Alex Vrettos The final was anti climactic as neither racer was able to make the final run. Alex has had good luck this year with tuning help from Job Spetter and Turbo People.
Holley - No Boost Winner - Richie Stine Stine and Johnson made for an all Maryland no Boost final with Stine running another mid 4.50 and Johnson slowing to a 5.07 @ 151 after losing the hood scoop in the semi final round backfire against Brian McKee.
VP Racing Fuels - Outlaw Radial Winner - Jason Black Gastonia, North Carolina racer Jason Black visited the winners circle again for photos this year besting Kenny Markwich's turbo powered mustang with a 4.47 @ 162.
TCI - X275 Winner - Kevin Neal and team mate Justin Johnson. Neal's 4.78 is the quickest for a nitrous car on 275 and the new record for the class.
X275 Second Chance Winner - Walter Drakeford After struggling with electrical issues and rolling the beams on the last qualifier after a shorted trans brake button the Real Speed Racing team put things together, ran his first 4.99 in round one and went on to win. Team Midnight runnered up after also logging their first four second run in the semis but was unable to make the call for the final.
Outlaw 10.5 Winner - Rob Wells had low ET in round three in a win over Danny Lowery and had the most consistent runs during eliminations.
