Jermain Boddie leads Procharger Pro Radial after one session with a 6.53 at 230 in his PLR powered 63 box Nova.

Willard Kinzer sits second in Procharger Pro Radial behind Jermain Boddie taking one and two spots for Pro Line Racing with Kinzer’s 7.24 at 204.

His eighth mile was a 4.16 at 189, also a personal best. The crew has been working on the short half of the track and lightened the car some so it’s not over weight. Holders Air Conditioning and Deeds Performance help out with power from a PLR 5 inch Billet 525 ci engine tuned by Josh Ledford.

Big cars are popular out west with this 71 Chevelle owned by Scott Lewis out of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. the small blocked powered Chevy tripped the beams at 5.58 at just 101 MPH. Clearly he has much more potential than his fourteenth spot.

Eric Gustafson leads Wild Street with a stellar 4.57 at 162 with his LSX Powered 89 Mustang out of Vernon, California.

Dragzine.com’s own James Lawrence sits in sixth with a 5.11 at 140. They are struggling with the car going right about 200 feet out as the car can perform much better.

A crowd favorite is Armen Maghdessian’s flamed 57 Chevy. He got into a big wheelstand on his run landing hard for fifteenth spot in class.

Brant Campbell put his Turbobullet Camaro in ninth position of Magnafuel XDR/TT5 with a 5.93 at 100 after getting loose down track and shutting down.

Clint Hairston ran well but not enough to make a dent in Maggio’s ET. Hairston is a regular in the NMCA West and PSCA series with his twin turbocharged GTO.

Jeff Lutz paired off with Larry Larson earlier this afternoon for their match race getting the win though both cars ran off pace. We will let you know if they decide to try again in Friday.

Larry also made the ride out here to attempt a five second pass with his Drag Week participant truck. Thay willbe a feat for sure if he can accomplish that in a street driven vehicle.
Team Q80 and Eric Dillard (blue car) took top honors in the Pro Mod Shootout tonight. Dillard recorded a 5.58 at 264 in Jose Gozalez' Camaro with Turky going a 5.56 at 27o. I spoke with Dillard after the runs and he thinks if the track is there they may be close to the record later this weekend. Also special thanks for Q80 Motorsports and Jose Gonzalez. Plans for next year include a big push on PDRA Pro Extreme and R & D to get the turbo cars running with the blowers
