So stop us if you've heard this one, the action at Drag Week was delayed due to fog. For the second day in a row, heavy fog played a pivotal role in how the day would unfold. The staff at Milan Dragway did an outstanding job keeping the track in shape and ready for when racing kicked off.

Drag Week can take you from the highest of highs, to the lowest of lows in just one pass. Unfortunately, Jerry and Matt Sweet learned this first hand at Milan Dragway. After laying down a monstrous 7.76 pass at Indy, the Nova spit a rod out during the first pass of the day.

The battle for the overall quickest title and Unlimited Iron class title at Drag Week has been a heavyweight title fight. Bryant Goldstone was on the canvas after Day Three, and the ref was about to count him out, but Goldstone wasn't ready to bow out. The Javelin's engine was pulled out so Goldstone could weld up the damaged head. After working all night, Goldstone hit the road for Milan Dragway, but ran into issues and barely made it to the track to make a pass. Goldstone's first attempt at a one-and-done ended with a wild 7.11 pass. The second pass Goldstone made netted a 6.54, that keeps him in the top spot for the overall win and Unlimited Iron title.

Les Smith has continued to work through the new car blues his Camaro has presented to him, and that effort has paid off. Smith left Milan Dragway as the Unlimited class leader and just needs to finish Drag Week to seal the deal.
