RAHAIM, MILLS LEAD NMCA WINNERS IN ST. LOUIS
Bob Rahaim (Pro Mod), DeWayne Mills (Radial Wars), and Dwayne Barbaree (Street Outlaw) headlined the winners at the record-setting NMCA Muscle Car Nationals held at the Gateway Motorsports Park near St. Louis over the weekend.
NMCA – Same Day Coverage
Bob Rahaim wasn’t the quickest or the fastest car in the Pro Mod field at the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals in St. Louis, but he was arguably the most consistent, laying down a succession of 5.90 and 6.0-second runs in eliminations to charge into victory lane for the second time in as many races, running 5.95 in the final as opponent Jimmy Keen broke at the starting line and could only watch the Michigan native blast into the evening darkess. In Radial Wars, DeWayne Mills was virtually dominant on race day, recording an unofficial record speed of 202 MPH in the semis and a crushing 4.17 in the final to down local boy Mark Woodruff for his first NMCA win. In Street Outlaw, Dwayne Barbaree carried another six-second performance in qualifying into a win on Sunday, downing Phil Smith in the final, and Florida’s Eric Kenward reset the Xtreme Street national record on his way to a decisive 7.87-second win.
