Radial Rumble: 2025 Battle For The Thrones Recap

The Battle For The Thrones lived up to its billing at Rockingham Dragway. Each racer on the property was pushing hard to go that extra round and earn more Radial Outlaws Racing Series (RORS) points. The cherry on top for all the winners was sitting on their new throne in the winner’s circle.

Ken Quartuccio’s stranglehold on the Radial vs the World (RVW) class got a little tighter at the Battle For The Thrones. At Lights Out 16, Quartuccio and his Steve Petty-tuned Camaro set the RVW class record and won the event. That ProCharged Camaro dominated once again at Rockingham with a string of impressive runs, and a win after defeating Ned Dunphy in the final round.

In Pro 275, Brylon Holder picked up his fist win behind the wheel of his ProCharged Camaro. Holder has experienced his fair share of struggles, but the team has finally found its rhythm and that could spell trouble for the rest of the class. Holder defeated defending RORS Pro 275 champion Mo Hall in the final round to earn his first throne.

Chad Henderson was in the thick of the 2024 RORS Limited Drag Radial (LDR) championship points chase until the final event. His roots-blown Buick has become one of the most feared cars in the class and it showed why at Rockingham. Henderson beat LDR’s newest and toughest competitor Billy Smith in the final round to score a big win.

If you want to win in X275, you’d better be ready to go to war at each event. DJ McCain put on his war face and jumped behind the wheel of the “Vecna” Corvette, ready to duke it out with the best in X275 at Rockingham. McCain beat Stephen Barnett in the final round to bring home the X275 victory at the Battle For The Thrones.

Ultra Street continues to be a tough class to win. Tyler Bedell smashed his way through a tough field at the Battle For The Thrones and earned a date with Jackson Henderson, son of LDR winner Chad Henderson. In the end, Bedell spoiled a Henderson family double-up and won Ultra Street.
