We’ve seen all kinds of incredible and sometimes off-the-wall creations come out of Australia, like a six-second 2JZ powered BMW. Gas Motorsports started with a killer chassis and wrapped the pure sexy lines of the E46 M3 around it to make a killer ride that really hauls.


Ben Diggles and his Badger Racing team have been turning some heads in the Turbosmart Street Compact class. The team uses a M&W chassis to house the potent FJ20 engine and its turbo power adder that’s propelled Diggles to an FJ20-powered dragster record of 7.02 at 190 mph.


This Ford Lightning pickup, filmed by 1320Video, is built to the hilt and really hauls the mail. A 331 cubic inch motor with an 82mm turbocharger helps push it to mid 9-second elapsed times at over 140 mph.

Buick built some badass rides back in the 1980′s, but they never built them quite like this, as Manny Espino has taken the Buick V-6 to a new level, ripping of a seven-second pass on a stock style suspension in his T-Type.


Krister Adeen of Sweden has taken the idea of variety to a whole new level. The Swedish team took a tube chassis, hung a Volvo 850 body on it, strapped a giant turbo on the 4 cylinder and cracked off some 6 second passes.


Most hardcore drag racers would have a hard time believing a motor with no pistons is capable of running single digit passes, let alone mid six-second passes. Well that is a reality because the New Generation Mazda RX-8 has set a new record for a rotary powered car with a 6.48-second, 217 MPH pass.


Titan Motorsports started off the new season right by capturing the Supra IRS record with their familiar in-house copper Supra, laying down a 7.29 at 201 mph in a recent outing at the Bradenton Motorsports Park.

Small tire heads up racing has become one of the most exciting things to watch in drag racing. There is a wide range of cars and power adder combinations that compete in these classes. One of the most popular classes now is X275.
