The weather in the Bluegrass State was pleasant as racers and spectators filtered through the gates at US-60 Dragway in Hardinsburg, Kentucky recently for the 2nd Annual Gene Gray Memorial Race. The Outlaw 10.5 race, promoted by Tim Gray, was organized in honor of his late cousin Gene Gray.

Taylor Lastor claimed the $10,000 winners prize after he beat out Brad Medlock and a field of all-comers from the No. 1 qualifying position in the North Star Dragway’s first EX275 race over the weekend.

The sophomore season of NMCA racing on the West Coast kicks off this weekend with the Lucas Oil NMCA WEST Street Car Nationals at the Auto Club Famoso Raceway in glamorous Bakersfield, California. Five heads-up classes and a full slate of index and open-comp-style categories will be vying for the coveted Wally…

This event marks the first of four races this year, the Challenge’s second full season. Three heads-up classes and two index categories will battle it out on the dragstrip, and the quickest and fastest LS-powered cars in the country will be on-hand to see how high the bar can be raised for Chevy performance.

The U.S. Street Nationals at the Bradenton Motorsports Park in central Florida has become one of the annual kickoff events of the drag racing season, as some of the quickest and fastest doorslammer racers in the world get out and stretch their legs for the first time after the grueling winter.

The Shakedown Nationals, the brainchild of David Hance of New York Motorsports and one of doorslammer drag racing’s preeminent events, returns to historic Raceway Park in Englishtown for the 10th year, and once again, some of the heaviest hitters in the sport are expected to to be on hand to battle it out.

J.R. Webb of St. Albans, West Va., Kenny Floyd of Charlotte and Howard Brewer of Bennett claimed individual titles Sunday before a car fire abruptly ended the 17th annual Holcomb Motorsports Outlaw Civil Wars drag race at Steve Earwood’s Rockingham Dragway.

It’s that time of year again, doorslammer fans, as the most raucous drag racing message board on the internet collectively ditches it’s keyboards and computer mice and descends on the Cecil County Dragway in Maryland for the third running of the Yellow Bullet Nationals!

Last weekend the 75-80 Dragway hosted the second of its Run What Ya Brung races for the year with a variety of heads-up and index racing classes on the program, headlined by Outlaw 10.5 with an onslaught of locals gunning for the top spot, along with Outlaw Drag Radial and Real Street for the fans delight.

The Pritchett brothers, Nate and Adam, rolled back into Milan Dragway with their Ultimate Outlaw Shootout Series and recorded a best-ever car count and attendance for their events. Several hundred cars poured in for the big race that hosted the Outlaw Drag Radial/Limited Street, X275, and Ultra Street.
