From early style front engine dragsters to bikes you will see just about anything nostalgia make the trip down the famed quarter mile.

You may be wondering exactly what the HAMB Drags are. Well it was founded in the 1950’s and it is a race that has been never duplicated with its classic style. For pre -1965 race cars that are of traditional styling is what you will see. No tubbed or tube chassis cars are allowed as the creators feel that they don’t fit the trend. Starting on Saturday the 21st the gates will open at 11am for spectators to fill in the grounds for a great show.

I can hear the rumble of the engines now as the racers fill the pits and warm their engines on preparation for a great day of racing. Hopefully if you are planning on racing, hopefully you have pre-registered because that is one of the stipulations this year. One thing is for sure that the imagination will run wild when you see these home built hot rods just as they were in the early days of drag racing. Some of them may appear scary and some may appear insane but you can be assured that they were built from the heart.
