Street Car Braggin Rights Put On A Stellar Show At Rockingham

Street Car Braggin Rights (SCBR) promoter Nate Prater has embraced the idea of giving back to the racers and fans more than you take. The result was a huge turnout at a new venue and room for SCBR to continue to grow for the foreseeable future.

The 2025 edition of SCBR was held at Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham, North Carolina. Prater’s goal was to fill the pits of this iconic racetrack with as many racers as he could, and that goal was achieved. Competitors from all corners of the United States came to race for their own Speed For All Wally. The variety of cars and classes really speaks to how much the event has grown.

Prater really goes above and beyond to make this event special. Racers got unique trophies for winning, and event qualifiers got challenge coins; this is what going the extra mile is all about. Prater flew in Kerry Williams, a young fan who was seriously injured at an event in Texas. The family’s airfare, hotel, and rental car were all covered to come to the event by SCBR. They even got a chartered helicopter ride from the airport to the event. To top things off, fans and racers were treated to an impressive fireworks show when racing finished up.

In the Heavyweight class, Alan Whitaker defeated Brian Moore to bring home the win. Galvin Black stamped his ticket to the winner’s circle after beating Tim Singleton in the SCBR Daily class. Logan Day won the SCBR Mild bracket after beating Jesus Chavez. The SCBR Wild division saw Jeremy Ortiz nudge out Michael Chambley to earn the victory. Jim Braun won the prestigious SCBR Elite bracket when he bested Jeremy Sparks. Tont Politano rowed his own gears to win the Stick Shift Pro class over Steve Shrader. In Stick Shift Outlaw, Jonathan Atkins beat Troy Klutts to pick up the win. DCT vs AWD Unlimited saw Pascal Legault outrun Rich Rainey for the class victory. Keith Rhea beat Mac Brosnan to win Extreme 28s vs Tres Cuarto.
