We love to show you project cars that are still in progress, sometimes it helps motivate others. And sometimes it give people a good idea of what others are going through so you don’t feel so all alone in your own project. It’s one thing to see a completed car in all it’s glory, but a project car gives us something to look at, something deeper than the paint.
But every once in a while, we come across a completed car that went through such an awesome build that we just have to share it with you. Such is the case with this HEMI Duster on the For A-Bodies Only web forum, belonging to “HEMI Denny”. This car went through an incredible build, and there are so many pages that we decided to jump you ahead and show you the final assembly.
With an immaculate looking Duster body that was enough to make just about anyone drool with envy, the assembly process began. Seeing the tubs in the rear, we knew this thing was going to get some bigger tires, and of course you almost have to do that with a Duster, they just seem to look better with big fat tires in the back filling up the quarter panels. Anything less would look like a slant-six grocery getter.
The red interior is quite the contrast, and really makes things stand out – it’s a nice touch. But the better touch is the 426 HEMI that’s being dropped in, complete with a Keisler trans mated up to a Gear Vendors Overdrive. It really looks like Denny’s Duster, the Mopar Missile, is going to see some time on the road and not just a short trip here or there. Nobody puts an overdrive unit on a trailer queen, and we like that!
