RaceQuip had just received the first shipment of their newly designed and approved Snell SA2010 helmets, and just in time to show them at the 2010 PRI trade show in Orlando. We talked with Patrick Utt of RaceQuip about the new helmet and design features.
“These are perfect for the dirt track racers because there are no vent holes in the face of the helmet. In the past, these guys have put tape over the vents, so we designed the helmet so they wouldn’t have to put tape on their helmets,” said Utt.
In addition to the new ventless design, the helmet has new hardware in this design model. As with previous RaceQuip helmets, the new helmets will be available in Black, flat black or white.
Utt added; “The SA-2010 design changes have allowed us to re-tool in order to produce our helmets with a more modern production method. Ultimately the RaceQuip SA-2010 spec helmets are lighter than previous models, have better fit and finish, and also have provisions for installation of a head and neck restraint.”
