Last week we shared with our readers some in-car ride alongs with some of the top names in the sportsman racing business from Pomona, and in following the in-car/on-car theme, we’ve located yet another interesting clip. This one comes to us from the Houston Motorsports over the weekend, captured with a small suctioned camera mounted atop the screaming supercharged ’02 Chevy Camaro Outlaw 10.5 machine of Texas runner Kenny Hubbard.
The camera angle is one you see frequently in NASCAR and occasionally on Pro Stock cars on ESPN, but not as often in other venues. However, it provides a great sense of the acceleration and speed from a mid four-second car such as Hubbard’s, offering an excellent couple minutes of entertainment.
Hubbard makes a nice hit with just a little sashay around the 200′ mark and blasts right on through the eighth mile scoreboards before tossing the laundry and quickly reeling the monster in in order to make the turnoff at the end of the strip. Crank up the volume and enjoy…bet’cha can’t play this one just once!
