VP Racing Fuels continues to expand its line of race fuels and now is branching out into the general consumer market with new performance additives and vehicle-care products.
The new X16 is marketed as a direct competitor to Sunoco Maximal while at a more competitive price.
“It’s for naturally aspirated engines with high compression ratios (up to 16:1) and engines adding up to 300-horsepower shots of nitrous,” says VP director of sales Bruce Hendel.
X16 is available in pails and drums.
VP is also touting its new C20, which is a non-oxygenated unleaded fuel.
“A lot of rules say no oxygenated fuels,” explains Hendel. “Now the racer has a choice with more octane.”
C20 carries a 103 RON octane rating.
Another VP offering is Unleaded Extreme, a 110-octane rating (R+M/2). It’s also non oxygenated.
“It’s the highest octane unleaded on the market,” says Hendel. “Previously racers were limited to 105 octane, so this fuel is priced accordingly.”
On the consumer side and under the trade name Madditive, VP is releasing six fuel additives: Fuel Stabilizer, Power Boost, Octanium, Cetanium, Diesel All-in-One Fuel Conditioner and Fuel System Cleaner.
“The Octanium can increase octane up to eight numbers,” says Hendel. “The Centanium is for diesel applications, more so for RVs and industrial use.”
The Fuel Stabilizer will appeal consumers with seasonal storage issues and concerns over ethanol in the fuel.
“The Power Boost is not an octane boost but will improve combustion and help with throttle response and power,” adds Hendel.
Finally, VP is releasing Power Wash.
“It works great as a car wash but it’s especially effective at removing dirt stains,” says Hendel. “It’s designed for off-roaders and dirt-track racers who have a tough time getting hard-to-clean stains out.”
