Reigning NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle champion LE Tonglet wear the title sponsors colors next weekend as the Full Throttle Series heads to the Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif. for the FRAM/Autolite NHRA Nationals. Tonglet’s Nitro Fish Suzuki GSX-R will be adorned with the Autolite signage and new orange graphics that compliment those of Spencer Massey’s FRAM/Prestone Top Fuel Dragster.
“I feel great about riding the Autolite bike,” said Tonglet. “Being able to represent Autolite at the FRAM/Autolite Nationals is awesome. I just hope we can do well for them.” Sean Lyon, senior product manager for Autolite, echoed those sentiments. “We are very excited to be able to have such a rising star represent Autolite at our event and look forward to Autolite spark plugs playing a vital role in LE’s quest for a second consecutive NHRA world championship,” said Lyon.
Last season, Tonglet took the Pro Stock Motorcycle division by storm, earning the Automobile Club of Southern California Road to the Future Award as the top professional rookie, as he dominated the Countdown to the Championship to earn the title in his first full season in the class. Tonglet currently sits fourth in the standings courtesy of two victories this season at Atlanta and Chicago, as well as two #1 qualifying efforts at Houston and Atlanta.
