In July of 2010 Jason had the misfortune of hitting the wall head on after a semi final loss to Scotty Guadagno at Milan Dragway for the Ultimate Outlaws, this after just hitting the track back in May of that year fresh from DMC Racing. The team has had its share of bad luck but isn’t one to give up or settle for less than the best they can do.
The car went back to DMC for the repairs and some minor changes, then down to Florida in February of 2011 for some winter testing where a transmission explosion almost ended the session on the first hit. Some local folks got the car fixed back up and the next run was a then personal best 4.32. Enos said the goal was to get into the .20’s and go from there, well they sure did today, running a record pace 4.11 @ 191 while testing at MIR for Dave Hance’s Shakedown at E Town.
Using a Proline Racing built 600 ci. big block Ford with twin 108 mm Precision turbos for power, we are sure team DMC, Proline Racing, Jason Enos and crew will be looking to bring home the official Outlaw 10.5 record this weekend in Englishtown. We also know they aren’t the only ones.
