Galesburg, Illinois-based Rick Jones Race Cars and its Quarter-Max mail-order performance parts division are all about delivering high-end, quality products to the end user regardless of the level of the sport they’re at, providing access to parts and pieces used on some of the top professional drag racing machinery in the world. But, they’re also about making life a little easier for their customers, as well, and they’ve illustrated that with their new Universal Extreme Series anti-roll bar kit.
“We’ve had our Extreme anti-roll bar for many years now, which is the very same one used on our Pro Modified and Pro Stock cars. It’s a 2-inch splined anti-roll bar and it usually has a one-piece splined shaft that’s custom-made to certain widths in previous versions,” Rickie Jones explained. “But we get a lot of calls from racers looking for a certain width, something wider or narrower, and we never had the exact, perfect machined bar in stock; that led to extra expense and extra time, and it was just a hassle. So we did some thinking and came up with this universal model.”
The Universal Extreme 2-inch anti-roll bar can be configured as wide as one needs it to be, by simply cutting down the 2-inch, 1/4-inch wall 4130 tubing to the desired width and welding it to the splined ends.
This new kit will come with all of the features traditionally found in Quarter-Max’s Extreme Series anti-roll bars, including the self-aligning bearings and splined steel arms, along with the mounting tabs and all hardware necessary to complete the anti-roll bar install in your chassis.
