Turbochargers, superchargers, and high-compression engines create a lot of heat–enough to damage sensitive electrical wiring and even stainless-braid hose if it’s not adequately protected. The guys at Design Engineering have just released a new product, Ultra Sheath MA, designed to provide that protection. Check it out!
Official Release:
Extreme direct or radiant heat can melt or damage electronic components. Until recently, aluminum or foil sleeving was the solution. Now, DEI, the leader in thermal protection has introduced Ultra Sheath MA, a new lightweight heat reflecting solution for tight high heat applications.
Developed with a unique process that impregnates molten aluminum to a tightly woven core fabric, Ultra Sheath MA sustains direct heat up to 1100°F and is over 40% lighter than foil covered sleeving. Developed to offer a consistently higher level of heat reflection, this thermal protection product from DEI provides the most advanced protection for cable lines, wire and hose.
More flexible to use than standard foil or bonded aluminum products, Ultra Sheath MA is easy to trim to desired lengths for quick and easy installation; even in hard to reach locations. Now available wherever DEI thermal products are sold, Ultra Sheath MA can be purchased in multiple ID sizes and lengths as well as bulk including: ½” ID x 3’ (#010230), ½” ID x 15’ (#010231), ¾” ID x 3’ (#010232), and 1-¼” x 3’ (#010233).
Features:
- Sustains direct heat up to 1100 degrees Fahrenheit
- Over 40% lighter than traditional foil covered sleeving
- Flexible and easy to install
