Turbo Coyote Class Coming to NMRA Spring Break Shootout

Turbo Coyote ImageThe NMRA’s Spring Break Shootout, presented by Blow-By Racing, is the season opener at Bradenton Motorsports Park March 5th-8th. The 2015 inaugural race is going to have so many entertaining classes it’s going to be hard to keep track of them all. The race is entertaining enough since it’s the first race of the NMRA season, but new classes like the recently announced Turbo Coyote class just adds to that excitement.

Fluid Turbo Concepts will sponsor the class, which also took place at the 2014 NMRA World Finals at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, KY. We’ve already heard of low-9 second cars being prepped for the event, so we trust many of the cars will be running 8s by Bradenton. Turbo Coyote joins other shootout classes like the VMP Superchargers Terminator/GT500 shootout and the Tremec Stick Shift shootout.

Here's an example of a Fluid Turbo Concepts twin-turbocharged combination. Single and twin-turbochargers are legal for Turbo Coyote.

Fluid Turbo Concepts’ Turbo Coyote is open to single and twin-turbocharged Coyote engines in 2005-’15 Mustangs. The class is open to S197 and S550 cars with 3-link, 4-link, or IRS suspension. Any rear tire is legal, and engine modifications only end at your imagination, or wallet, but the engine must be of the Coyote variety. The engine can be any displacement, with unlimited internal modifications. Also, you’ll have to leave your sissy sticks (wheelie bars) at home, too; they’re not legal.

The Turbo Coyote winner will receive $500 and a custom award, while the runner-up will win $200 and a special plaque. Semi-final racers will get $100, and quarter-final contestants will get $50. However, with these guys it’s more about bragging rights, and trust us when we say they will be letting it all hang out come March.
