We finished up round two qualifying just before 1 AM last night and more than one crew was working late into the morning making repairs or swapping parts. Kevin Fiscus tore up two transmissions in two runs. He has plenty of spare parts on hand to make repairs.  Skinny Man Matt Mungal, Pat Fasnacht from Racecraft and some other kind people worked on Amanda Long’s Mustang  till about 4:30 AM repairing a broken 3rd link on the rear suspension.  Big thanks to everyone that gave a hand.

Steve Jackson melted down both cylinder heads on his 4.43 run last night and they are also looking to get some welding and machine work done today. Pro qualifying will be under way shortly after a quick cleanup on track. Check back through the day for updates

Chris Daniels has a new ride from Bell Chassis Works with just 18 runs on the car so far. He has been a .70 @ 163 last night in a car barely a month old. Chris' son Adam Daniels pictured.

A quick trip through part of the pits this morning found Scotty G. swapping out the “W”s for a pair of the tried and true TT5 x 29’s that he is used to running.

Randy Westmoreland qualified with a 4.63 for fourth spot last night in Outlaw Drag Radial. He runs a 509 ci. BBC with twin 88’s, they hail from near Little Rock Arkansas and have been a best of 4.56 @ 163 at Prescott.

Alex Esnaola got me up to speed on the changes to Steve Morris’s wagon. Steve has switched to EFI, added a Pro Volute to the front of the Procharger inlet and changed the compression on the 540 ci conventional head big block Chevy.

Mel Nelson torched the head last night and are tearing it down this morning to run to a local shop for surfacing after welding it overnight. They hope to make a run in the final session this evening.

Team Shocker Racing from left to right Chad, Josh, Shane, crew chief Tom Sanders and Car owner Jason Borum. He runs a small block Ford by Allan Moody with a 118 mm turbo in ODR. Sheppard Race Cars did a stock suspension conversion and this is the first event with the new combo.

Steve Morris ripped off a nice 4.66 today after not making a full pass on the new set up yesterday.

You just never know what you will find here at the Radial Revolution’s No Mercy. A case in point this ‘37 Chevy pickup with a 292 straight 6 fed by a 76mm turbo running in the Performance Racing Transmissions Leaf Spring Shootout.

Steven Staff and his brother Craig have run this truck for about 20 years with naturally aspirated and nitrous combos, swapping to a turbo about two years ago. Steven ran a 5.53 here yesterday. Oh did I mention their parents dated in this truck in the early 60’s ? Gotta love it.

Amanda is doing a hike for hospice on November 12th in Wesley Chapel, Florida. They have a donation bucket here on site or you can visit www.puddinracin.com to donate and support a good cause for end of life care.

This 65 fastback Mustang runs a 320 ci SBF on nitrous with a GF5R G-Force clutchless 5-speed transmission. Bob Steensma own this 2005 Mustang running in Outlaw 275, using a SBF Ford from ProLine Racing pressurized by a 118 mm turbo, reduced to a 94. He ran a 5.19 @ 146 and are happy so far with the new combo on the fourth time out. The car was built 3-4 years ago by Joey Bell in Woodstock, Georgia and recently switched to turbo.

Rolling through the pits after lunch had me in Willard Kinzer’s pits speaking with Jeff Lutz and Billy Midnight dropped by with a cylinder heard to see if Jeff could weld it up. He went right to work on the RHS casting that was on Corndog’s Trans AM, here this weekend in X275. Corndog throttled it last night and burned the chamber out, after Jeff gets it welded up they will take it back and get the car back together and hope it holds for a couple of rounds, he was qualified . Jimmy Geldon from GE Enterprises is behind the custom ports in an ongoing R&D basis.

Racecraft has a new lightweight front end kit using Santhuff Struts and a new feature allowing front end limit adjustment with the turn of a knob.

Holley is just one of the vendors here onsite in the manufacturers midway. Others include TRZ Motorsports, Probe Pistons, Mac Fab beadlock Conversions, Holeshot Wheels and more.
