Welcome to day two of Redemption here at SGMP. The weather today is a complete 180 from Friday with no clouds anywhere in sight. We are kicking off with index cars first with 6.50 running now, then will complete the final round of Radial vs the World for those who wish to make a run that were left last night after Shane Stack lost his driveshaft forcing us to end the session early.

Jerry Gunter makes the switch to radials this morning with the "if you can't beat em, join em" mentality.

Issac Peterson had his fair share of difficulties so far with a set of broken planetaries while testing Wednesday. They had a replacement transmission delivered yesterday and qualified with a 5.31 @ 133 but fell to fifth after the second session.

No Boost Rd 3 Notes

Jason Black improved to fourth spot with a clean 4.74 @ 161 knocing Henderson back with his .75 flat @ 153. Richards also improved to a 4.77 moving up one spot to sixth.
Ultimate Street Rd 3 Notes

There were no major changes to the field in Ultimate Street this round. hawkins is still number one with last night 5.22 @ 137.
Outlaw Radial Rd 3 Notes

Steve Jackson jumped all the way to number one in Outlaw Radial with a 5.45 2 169 bumping Kolivas to second. Hinzman improved as well moving to third with a 4.54 @ 164 just ahead of Goodtimer Tony Ridenour's new personal best 4.55 @ 167.

Henderson is flying this weekend running a 4.66 @ 155 for seventh position this round and is the fastest nitrous car in the field at this time.

No Boost Final Qualifying

They are flying in No Boost for the final session with McHee running 4.57 @ 163, Henderson putting up a 4.67 @ 155 and Fox improving to a 4.70 bumping Hamby to fourth. Francis Johnson finally put together a decent run with a 4.73.
Ultimate Street Final Qualifying

Kirk Hatley is behing the wheel of Eric Kenwards wagon this weekend, Eric was a late arrival due the arrival of a new baby for his family on Thursday. Congrats my friend on the new addition and top qualifier. Gerime Rooks improved from eight to third with a 5.24 @ 135.
Outlaw Radial

Stevie Fast struggled with traction on several runs but put enough together to top the field of Outlaw Radial with a 4.45 @ 169.

Terry Elam and Jeff Kyle traded the top spot back and forth today with Elam winding up with it at the end of the last session. Joel Greathouse stepped up to second with a 4.76 @ 156.
Radial vs the World

David Wolfe stepped it up big time in the final session with a 4.35 @ 188 right behind Eric Dillarrd's 4.41 @ 189.79 run. Tony Ridenour made some test hits in class with a best of 4.52 @ 167 but will be running Outlaw Radial only tomorrow.

You know you are hard core when you weld up a piston. Tommy "Madman" Brewer put his skills to use and made the repairs to Brady McNew's piston. They will have it back together for first round tomorrow.
