Outlaw 10.5

After the night set in Tim Lynch made hsi final qualifying run and again set the bar high for the competition. He set teh new record in doing so and ran the car to a personal best of 6.26 @ 232.51.

Brad Harris made a strong showing in his outlaw 10.5 mustang. But it just wasnt enough to make the tough cut this weekend. He ran the car to a 6.899 @ 199.58 which put him just outside of the bump spot.
- Dave Hance is obviously here and they are looking to be a major contender in the race on radials today.
- The Thompson racing crew was up and ready to go early in the AM. They brought thier bad looking rebodied 53 turbo promod vette. They are still trying to get a handle on the car and getting it to run well into the 3’s. They are hoping to be campaigning more next year int eh ADRL cirucut and be a serious leader in the series.
- David Demarco is out with some fresh paint on his proline pwered GN. After making his first set of 6 second passes in super street trim he has loaded the car up and brought it out to try his luck at getting in the the 6.8x zone.
- Paul Major made the trip up after laying down soem serious numbers down at MIR yesterday. They are looking to back those numbers up if not surpass them this weekend at englishtown.
- Steve Morris brought his infamous wagon out to do battle. One of the long haulers to the east coast, he is looking to take his big block procharged car to the front of teh pack in the radial clas
- Shannon Jenkins and crew are out to make a showing in Pro Nitrous class. The Al-Anabi crew is supported by 3 other cars who all came here to take home the money in their respectice classes.
- Not long after his burnout John Noble had some issues. About 60′ out the car started moving around to the left and ended up going up on its side a few hundred feet out then went head first into the wall.

- Lou Sciortino brought his 727 musi powered camaro out for Heavy street action. A nice wheelie to the 80′ mark and some clean driving pushed this car to the 7.19 @ 193.88 mark to put him in the #3 spot.
- James Sartori brought his big block camaro to fight for the top spot. A serious player in the heavy street world, James had soem issues at the start and went up in smoke almost instantly and he did not make the bump after the first session.
- In typical steve morris fashion the big wagon put the power down and the car went up to teh sky. After peddeling it a bit and trying to drive through it , the run was aborted and he was sent to the bottom of the ladder.
- As expected, Paul Major came to the race ready to go. After teh first round he is sitting in the #1 spot with a 6.94 @ 220.51 with what looks like a lot left in the car. Well see what the air tonight and the , hopefully, tighter track will bring.
- Hance brought teh car out of the hole easy and laid on the power to put him in the #2 spot behind Major. Dave had some issues on teh top end and lifted early, but was still enough to make an impressive run to lock down one of the top spots.

- Not to be far outdone, TJ Kasper is on Tim Lynch’s heels. He made a clean pass to take the second spot behind his engine builder with a 6.392 @ 230.37. Its going to be a touch battle to make it anywhere near the top spots this weekend.
- Tommy Ferrick brought the S-10 to the 10.5 fight and just slipped in the back of the feild with a 7.49 @ 170.36.
- Scotty G has his camaro out represnting nitrous powered cars in a boost dominated class. He had a strong run and the big block powered car ran through the top end at 7.05 @ 159.34

- Pete Berner brought his new 09 GXP to run with the Mountain Motor Pro Stocks. And he got teh job done during the first round running a 6.25 @ 220.37 to put him in the top spot.
- Cale Aronson is working the bugs out his 2010 mustang to hopfully run him up the ladder a bit. Though his first round run of 6.611 @ 177.79 put him right about the middle of teh feild in the #7 spot
- Bob Bertsch hung his Rislone mustang side to side for a 100′ burnout. It seemed to help as the car went down straight as could be to a 6.379 @ 213.74 to clinch the #5 spot.
- Brad Personette set the bar high in the first round of qualifying. His turbo camaro ran 5.841 @ 240.89 which put him over a tenth in front of the rest of the feild.
- Chip King just made it into the 5 second zone with his daytona. He ran a 5.991 @ 240.72 which stuck him #3 spot less than a tenth in front of Benny Alfonso.
- Freddy ran his 63 vette to the front of the pack of Nitrous Pro Mods. He laid down a 5.980 @ 230.65 to secure the top spot.
- Vinny Budano brought his newly built 68 camaro out and secured himself in the #5 spot with a 6.30 @ 193.93
- Andy Jensen had his turbo small block camaro running in the 1/8th mile challenge. The looked pretty strong and laid down a 4.511 @ 180.40 which stuck him in the #4 spot.
- Michael Ingressioran his cutlass to a 7.393 @ 188.89 to put him in the #9 spot for race day.

- Dwanye Taylor ran his novva to a 8.02 @ 172.45 but it wasnt enough to make the feild after 3 rounds of qualifying.

- Pete Berner took on John Puluchino in teh finals and ran his car to another 6.2x pass for the win. He stopped the clocks at 6.28 @ 224 to Johns 7.11 @ 146.
- Chip King faced Plummer in teh Pro Mod final. Both cars had issues right at the hit shakign the tires bad. But chip was able to pedal his car a bit further for the win with a 8.13 @ 123.
- Tim Lynch faced Joe Newsham in the finals with both cars going into it with previous runs of 6.47’s. Tim was able to lay down the power and ran a 6.30 @ 226 to Newshams 7.51 @ 145 for the win.
- Mike Stawicki faced John Stnaley in the final of the Pro Extreme 1/8th mile class. Stawicki got the hole shot on stanley and charged to a 3.89 @ 197 over stanleys 6.46 pass for thw win.
- Mel Nelson ran an uncontested pass in the drag radial class when John Carter didnt make the call. He still ran the car out the back for a solid 6.85 @ 223 run.
- Khalid Al Balooshi paired up with Todd Fontana in the finals of the Nitrous Pro Mod category. Though getting teh hole shot over Balooshi, Fontana couldnt hold off the hard charging camaro. Balooshi ran a 5.93 @ 241 to better Fontans 6.58 @ for the win.
- Sam Gottier faced Mitch George’s Monte carlo in the finals. The chevelle was hard to beat this weekend runnign a string of 6.9x passes. And he continued on with that to the finals for the win with a 6.91 @ 198 to Georges 7.57 @ 141.
