Stevie Fast Set To Make NHRA Pro Mod Return At Indy US Nationals

US Nationals

When drag racing is in your blood, especially as a driver, the itch to strap into your race car and put it in the beams has to be scratched often. After taking an extended break from the driver’s seat due to a surgical operation at the end of 2022, multi-time champion Stevie Fast Jackson announced he will roll into Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park and make his return to NHRA Pro Mod competition during the 70th NHRA U.S. Nationals Presented By Toyota.

During the 2023 season, Jackson spent his time expanding his racing operation, Killing Time Racing (KTR), into a complete motorsports solution business for customers wanting to compete for championships in drag racing. During that same time, he also joined Sidnei Frigo and Artivinco Racing to manage the team’s assets and tuning duties. With Jackson at the helm, Frigo and the Artivinco Racing team compete in NHRA Pro Mod in the U.S. Additionally, Jackson handles the powertrain program and tuning for Chad Henderson who competes in Limited Drag Radial. With KTR power and Stevie Fast tune-ups on board, Henderson and Frigo have both set records in their respective classes. Needless to say, even when he’s not in the driver’s seat, Jackson doesn’t slow down.

Managing an NHRA Pro Mod team doesn’t leave much time for driving and racing your own car. However, in just three weeks Jackson is going to take on both roles at the 70th NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indy. Interestingly, the Motion Raceworks Shadow 3.0 race car was not originally built to compete in NHRA Pro Mod, so it had to make a quick trip back to RK Racecraft to make the necessary updates to get the car legal for NHRA competition. Jackson hasn’t piloted his own race car in an NHRA event since 2018 when he drove the Shadow 2.0 to his first U.S. Nationals win. He’s looking to bring that good fortune with him back to Indy and attempt to add a second U.S. Nationals win to his trophy wall.
