PRI 2023: Scoggin Dickey Now Offering SP502/605HP Big-Block

Check this out, Scoggin Dickey Parts Center is now offering Chevrolet’s new big-block crate engine. Beginning with the popular and proven ZZ502 as its starting point, Chevy engineers took the big boy’s mojo to the next level to create the burlier SP502/605 Deluxe, rated at a stump-pulling 605 horsepower and 580 lb-ft of torque. It’s the power you need for your vintage muscle car, hot rod, or truck that comes only from the Bowtie big-block family.

New, higher-compression pistons, a new hydraulic-roller camshaft, and CNC-ported oval-port heads pump up the SP502/605’s output — and this all-new crate engine is distinguished with new cast-aluminum valve covers based on the striking, contemporary design introduced on the ZZ632. A Deluxe kit offers an 850-cfm carburetor and aluminum intake manifold, HEI distributor, plug wires, starter, water pump, and balancer. It also includes a new-design five-quart oil pan.
