Proline Racing is undoubtedly one of the premier facilities in the U.S. to get yourself fixed up with some of the best power available. Whether it be a twin turbo big block to shoot for some records in Outlaw 10.5 or an NMRA Hot Street N/A small block, Proline is at the top of the game in the engine development and tuning department. Proline’s customers aren’t just here in the states however, they’ve got some customers over in Australia that are staying on top of the heads up racing classes over there, as well.
Just two examples of this dominance in Aussie-land are Joe Gauci from Profab and Dom Luppino. To read more about their cars and competition, checkout ProlineRacing.net
One of Proline’s many dealers in Australia, Dandy Engines, buys their engine builders packages and turns them into high horsepower quarter mile dominators. Joe Gauci from Profab now has one of Proline’s twin turbo small block Ford’s in his grabber blue Ford Cortina, a big step up from the single turbo straight 6 he’d been running in years previous.
The sixxer was good for mid 8’s in Modified Street trim, but Gauci wasn’t completely satisfied with that. After getting a proper 8 cylinders under the hood, Gauci was able to run out a solid 7.45 at 194 MPH at Calder Park in Melbourne at their most recent event, thus moving Gauci and his Cortina up to the #1 Modified Street slot.
Of course, things get a little quicker when we move on over to the Pro Street class and check out Dom Luppino’s new edge Mustang. As of now, Luppino is running a 440 C.I. SBF with a pair of 80mm turbos with Big Stuff 3 EFI and an AMS 1000 boost controller, which Luppino says is a must for these cars. Just how good is this combo? Earlier in the year Luppino ran a 7.04 at 202 MPH in testing, but in their latest outing he ran a 7.12 at 204 mph, still chasing that high 6 second pass. For now, Luppino and his crew will have to settle for being the #1 Pro Street car, breaking his own records like clockwork.
If any Modified Street or Pro Street competition wants to get a shot at the win in any given event, they’re going to need to get by these Proline Racing and Dandy Engines customer’s mean Ford power.
