Holley’s Sweepstakes To Give Away A Twin-Supercharged LS

Let’s face it, if you are reading this, it’s safe to say that you’re a fan of horsepower. As a human being, you’re probably a fan of free things, as well. Well, Holley Performance Products has teamed up with several other leaders in the performance aftermarket to not only build a badass, twin-centrifugally supercharged LS engine, but to also give it away to one lucky winner in a sweepstakes running from now through June 22, 2020.

The Engine

Partnering with Prestige Motorsports, A Dart LS Next Pro engine block with a 4.125-inch bore and billet mains was chosen as the base for the engine. A forged 4340-steel 4.00-inch-stroke Eagle crankshaft rotates on King Engine Bearings, making for 427 cubic inches of displacement.

Bolted onto the crank is a set of Eagle’s forged H-beam connecting rods. Attached to the rods are a set of 4.125-inch DSS Racing pistons. Made from forged 2618 aluminum, they are gas ported and come with DSS’ ring package and heavy-wall wrist pins.

A custom ground “high-rev” camshaft, double-roller timing set coupled with ARP cam bolts and an ATI steel supercharger damper handle timing. A Melling 10296 oil pump, Holley LS Retro-Fit oil pan and dipstick and tube kit keep all of the engine’s lifeblood moving.

This 427 cubic-inch LS engine will make a ton of power if the winner wants to crank it up, or will make a sweet cruising engine, thanks to the nature of centrifugal supercharger’s power delivery.

Prestige Motorsports 11-degree cathedral-port cylinder heads with 255cc intake ports and 2.02-inch intake valves and 1.60-inch exhaust valves sit atop the short-block. Johnson Controls Hy-lift hydraulic-roller lifters and a set of custom-length pushrods actuate a set of Prestige Motorsports trunnion rockers, translating camshaft motion into valve motion.

Topping off the combo is a Holley Lo-Ram intake manifold fitted with a 95mm Holley throttle body and a set of Fuel Injector Clinic 1,000 cc/min injectors and Holley fuel rails. MSD coils keep the spark lit and are controlled by a complete Holley Terminator-X EFI system and harness.

The piece de resistance comes from TorqStorm, and consists of a pair of centrifugal superchargers to feed boost into the engine. Capable of moving enough air to make 1,200-plus horsepower, the TorqStorm system includes a pair of blow-off valves, a crank pulley, air filters, and all the required brackets, belts, and pullies.

This is only a summary of the parts used in the build, which total up to a value of $23,364.44. For the full list, along with specific part numbers, visit Holley here.
