Scott and crew arrived a bit late Wednesday night for the car’s track debut. It was given a once over and warmed up before the first pass, which was about a 500 foot shut off run to shake it down. There were no issues that cropped up so some adjustments were made to the boost controller after going over the data and it was back for another hit. This resulted in a 5.20 @ 140 MPH with a 1.32 60’. That run was a soft launch with about three pounds on the line, then twelve pounds through the lights on a clean run – if a bit out of the groove down track.
Another round of adjustments to the AMS 1000 boost controller, gas up and ice down then it was time for another try. This one seemed to leave about the same and Scott drove to the left again down track and resulted in a 5.01 @ 151. certainly not bad for the second full pass on a new ride. The race debut for the new car and class will be Sunshine’s Heads Up Madness series on September 11th. I know Scott and Jill are excited and looking forward to being back in competition again soon.
